Menstruation is a
natural part of a woman's life, but for those who have menstrual cramps, it can
be difficult. Even though cramps are not usually a reason to worry, they can
prevent you from doing regular activities if they are very bad. A woman with menstrual
cramps will feel pain in the lower part of the stomach, which can expand to the
lower back and thighs. These cramps usually decrease after the first two or
three days of the period. Some women also have cramps before the start of the
cycle.
Some things can make a
woman more likely to suffer from menstrual cramps, like reaching puberty at an
early age, genetics, lots of blood flow during periods, and doing unhealthy
things like smoking, not getting enough exercise , drink a lot of alcohol and
use illicit drugs. After giving birth, some women will experience less
menstrual cramps, if at all. How can you lessen the pain of cramps? There are
medications to relieve the pain of menstrual cramps. There are also simple ways
to reduce the pain caused by cramps, which can work better, and can even
prevent cramps from coming in first.
1.Heat

The easiest way
to help menstrual cramps is to put heat on the lower abdomen. The heat helps
loosen the muscles that tighten the uterus. Put a heating pad on the lower part
of your stomach and in the back.
You can even use a plain plastic bottle filled
with hot water. Continue until you feel better. You can also soak a towel in
hot water, wring it out, and then heat it in the microwave for a minute.
Put it
on your lower abdomen until the towel cools down. Use it every few minutes
until it does not hurt anymore. Taking a hot shower can help relieve the pain
too.
2. Ginger Tea

relieve the pain of menstrual cramps. It can also combat the feeling of fatigue
that accompanies PMS, and can treat irregular periods.
How To Make It.
Boil a piece of grated
ginger in a cup of water for five minutes. Drain and add honey and lemon juice.
Drink this tea three times a day during your menstrual cycle. or Add ginger to
your food, or suck on ginger candies.
3.Basil
Basil has acid that
decreases pain, which soothes menstrual cramps.
How To Make It.
Add a tablespoon of basil
leaves to a cup of boiling water. Cover it tightly and let it cool.
Drink this every few
hours to ease cramps. You can also crush basil leaves to get juice. Add two
teaspoons of this juice to a cup of warm water. Drink this tea three times a
day, when you are in pain. Or, try adding fresh basil leaves to your food.
4.Cinnamon Tea

Cinnamon can stop
muscle tightness, blood clotting and swelling to help relieve menstrual pain.
How To Make It.
mix ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon powder in a cup of hot water. Let the tea sit for
five minutes, then add honey and drink it.
To stop cramps, drink two to three
cups of cinnamon tea one or two days before the start of your period.
Take a
cup of warm water and mix in half a teaspoon of cinnamon and a tablespoon of
honey. Drink three times the first day of your period to stop the pain.
5.Peppermint tea

Peppermint tea will help with the pain
associated with contractions and spasms of your uterine muscles. It is
anti-spasmodic.
A combo of one teaspoon each of honey
and dried mint powder is an excellent treatment for irregular menstrual
periods.
How To Make It.
Steep some peppermint leaves in later for 10-15 minutes and strain this mixture. Let it cool and then
sip it throughout the day.
6.Parsley Juice

Parsley is one of the best
herbal remedies for menstrual cramps. It is rich in vitamin C which helps your
body absorb and replace the iron lost during heavy bleeding.
Parsley is rich in
antioxidants which can help reduce inflammation of the uterine tissues.
How To Make It.
Prepare a glass of fresh
parsley juice and drink it during the first 3 days of menstruation, after every
meal.
