Bloated stomach: Common causes... and how to reduce gases and eliminate them.
Bloted Stomach

Abdominal (Stomach) Bloating Symptoms

Swelling and bloating  of  stomach can be  caused many factors, especially stomach gas. For this reason, it is very important to reveal the true cause for correct treatment.

One of the most common causes is irregular digestion. When the digestive system is working properly, the foods are separated into a number of chemical reaction end-products.

The body produces building materials and energy  to  use as fuel from these components. Unfragmented foods are waste and are thrown away by the body. Some of these wastes are odorless and easily processed in the intestinal tract.

If the body can not digest properly, sulfur-containing gases are produced and accumulate in the intestinal tract. These gases can stretch the intestinal tract and lead to painful abdominal swelling.

Abdominal bloating can be caused by the following factors:

  • Lactose intolerance
  • Sensitive bowel syndrome
  • Food allergies
  • Gas-producing foods
  • Beans
  • Broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprouts, onion, artichoke and asparagus
  • Fruits such as pears, apples and peaches
  • Whole wheat and wheat clover
  • Soft drinks
  • Milk and milk products
  • Artificial sweeteners such as sorbitol and fructose

Gas production is not the only cause of abdominal swelling . Other causes of pain and discomfort with puffiness include:

  • Overeating
  • Partial occlusions in the intestinal tract
  • Constipation
  • Menstruation and premenstrual stress syndrome
  • Intestinal parasites
  • Diverticulitis (a bowel disease)
  • Menopause

Diagnosis of Abdominal Swelling

Many medical tests are performed by the doctor to determine the cause of abdominal bloating. First, the doctor takes the medical history of the patient and performs some physical tests to see if the symptoms are temporary. The doctor diagnoses that if the symptoms are temporary, then there is a gas increase that can be solved by changing some habits.

Alternatively, if it is clear that the symptoms are persistent, it may be a disease of the digestive system, enlargement of the abdominal organs, fluid accumulating in the abdominal region, obesity or tumors.

How To reduce and treat your abdominal distention?

Below are some helpful tips to help you  prevent stomach bloating and gas production:

Fruit and vegetable

Eat fresh vegetables and fruits. Because they are an abundant fiber source and prevent constipation.

Plenty of water

Drinking plenty of water makes it easier for digestive tracts to progress through the digestive system to keep the health and the intestines moist.

Stay Away From Carbonated Drinks

Avoid beverages and carbonated beverages. Carbon dioxide can cause stomach bloating by squeezing into the scaffold.

Avoid Processed Grains

Eat natural and fresh foods. Ready and packaged foods are difficult to digest because they contain additives.

Reduce Salt intake

Avoid foods with high sodium content. Excess sodium causes the body to lose water.

Balanced Dairy Products

Keep consumption of dairy products in the middle. If you have lactose sensitivity, digestion of such products is difficult, so eat foods that do not contain lactose.

Stay away from extremely hot and extremely cold foods

Avoid very hot and cold foods. These increase air intake during meals.

Leave Caffeinated Drinks

Stay away from the coffee shop. Caffeine can act as a stimulant and cause the digestive system to overwork and fatigue.

Decrease Fat

Stay away from foods with high fat content. Their digestion causes difficulty and digestive spasms.

Pre-term Drugs

Women may take additional medications to get rid of premenstrual syndrome. Because these syndromes can lead to abdominal bloating.

Increase Fiber Intake

Pull 25-30 grams, gradually increasing daily fiber intake. The fiber prevents gas formation and swelling.

Column Test

Take the annual colon test as a precaution.

If these habits are obtained in terms of nutrition, risks of abdominal bloating, gas formations and digestive diseases can be minimized.
