Tips breastfeeding for a diabatic mother:
1. Follow-up regularly with your doctor and dietitian to adjust your diet during the months of breastfeeding, as it has been shown that breastfeeding helps to burn additional calories and therefore the occurrence of disorders in the level of sugar in the blood is high.
2. Drink plenty of liquids all day, except for caffeine. It is advisable to drink water or other fluids during breastfeeding as well.
3. Have a snack before or during breastfeeding.
4. Keep some candy or a light sugary snack on hand to face any possibility of low blood sugar if you breastfeed your baby out of the house, so you do not have to stop the lactation process.
